Miley Cyrus, the star of the Disney children’s television show Hannah Montana, has spoken of how easy she found her first love scene, with the actor Douglas Booth, in the forthcoming film LOL.
Booth who caused hearts to flutter when he starred in the BBC adaptation of Great Expectations, was left with a different impression. “We actually filmed the sex scenes on the first day, so it was incredibly awkward,” he admits to Mandrake at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition Preview Party.
Booth, 19, resisted the temptation to get in the mood by listening to the pop records that Cyrus, 19, has recorded. “It’s not the kind of music I would listen to, but I know that it is very popular,” he says.
The actor adds that he holds a great deal of affection for the singer, even if they have little in common. “Miley is great, she’s in a completely different stratosphere from me, and moves in completely different circles.”
