Adele's '21' Is Only Album To Sell Over A Million Copies

Adele's smash hit album "21" is well on its way to being the top selling record for the second year in a row.

With over 5.8 million copies sold in 2011 and over half of that (3.69 million) already in 2012, "21" is the only album to sell over a million copies since January 1.

The album has also amassed more sales this year than the the number two, three, four and five releases combined.

At second is Lionel Richie country-crossover "Tuskegee," selling 910,000 copies; followed by One Direction's "Up All Night" (899,000 copies); Whitney Houston's "Greatest Hits" and pop hits compilation Now That's What I Call Music, Vol. 41.

With album sales numbers down, digital sales are up. Leading the way is Gotye, with a record 5.5 million downloads of hit single "Somebody That I Used to Know). The song broke the record for most downloads in the first six months of one year, previously held by Katy Perry's "E.T." The song is also the first ever to pass the 5 million download mark in six months.

fun.'s "We Are Young" also topped the high water mark, selling 5.1 million copies.

Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe", Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" and "Starships" by Nicki Minaj round out the top five.

Adele's 21 To Mark 23rd Week On Billboard 200‎

Following its multiple-award-win high at this year’s Grammys, Adele’s 21 is shooting toward a 23rd non-consecutive week at #1 on the Billboard 200.
According to MTV, the Nielsen SoundScan report shows album sales of 247,000, pushing Adele in the direction of 8 million copies sold in the U.S., and tying her with records made by Prince’s Purple Rain.
Adele isn’t the only powerhouse diva making numbers. Whitney Houston’s discography continues to sweep the top 10 following her death, with her greatest-hits album sitting at #2 (112,000) and her self-titled debut at #10 (25,000).
Also in the top 10 are Tyga’s Careless World: Rise of the Last King at #6 (37,000), Drake’s Take Care at #8 (29,000), and Rihanna’s Talk That Talk at #9 (25,000). And despite Cudi’s complaint about his label’s lack of album shipment,WZRD comes in at #3 with 66,000 copies sold. – Stephanie Long

-----------------------------------------

I hope the following will assist!

OK. The numbers on the strings should relate to which finger to use -

't' is thumb, 1,2,3 are 1st, 2nd, 3rd fingers respectively!

So the D chord (xx0232) picked like this

E-------------------|
B-----2-------2-----|
G---1---1---1---1---|
D-t-------t---------|t...... etc
A-------------------|
E-------------------|

The A chord (x02220) like this! nb finger '3' can be left out or played simultaneously with '2'!

E---------------------------|
B-------3-----------3-------|
G-----2---2-------2---2-----|
D---1-------1---1-------1---|
A-t-----------t-------------|t....etc
E---------------------------|

...and so on for the other chords.
